Watershed - Artist residency films

Watershed is a cultural venue in Bristol. Every year they invite applications from artists to become a Winter Resident — in 2022 the practitioners chosen were Alistair Gentry and Shrouk El-Attar.
Their work included a belly dancing robot and an augmented reality flying saucer, both blending culture and creative technology to shine a light on lost futures and the unexpected.
I was commissioned to produce a short film about each artist. We aimed to capture the themes they were exploring during their residency, questions they were asking, and what they were making. The films were then screened at a showcase celebrating both residents’ work and the future of the projects.
